A decent turnout was present for a bank holiday Monday, we regailed each other with stories of bank holiday fortunes/misfortunes as we cheered the red devils onto victory.
Congrats to Fairfranco for winning last nights main event, he used controlled aggression to crush his opponents, his post flop play gave him an insurmountable edge over his opponents, he used both assets wisely onto his way to victory. Top notch play FF
Bonak Shed used his cunning to coast into the money, he's not had the run of the cards recently with numerous 4th place finishes but last night he put an end to the misery that is the bubble and picked up much deserved prize money and leaderboard points. Nicely done Sheddy
Burfoot had his A game on last night despite the fact his missus would'nt go get him more booze, he did'nt let that stop him from making a big impression on his peers by picking up his fair share of the spoils. Superb effort BF
Many thanks to all who played in the main event and after party
The OLBG Poker leaderboard has been updated
Thursdays tournament is open for registration, support the cause! _________________ Don't worry, we've got Neil Warnock! |

Very well played to Franco considering he went down to under 300 in chips when we still had the 2 tables!!! Bet the rest of our table who made the final table had wished they squashed him when they had the chance!
As the old saying goes "a chip and a chair!". Excellent stuff

I always love reading woody's post game comments! I feel maybe he watches the games (including my own) much better than myself as I probably couldn't give you any comments about how people had played!
Unlucky to shedy though who twice had me all in when there were 3/4 players left and me having low/mid pocket pairs against his higher only for him to be beat on the river. it's a cruel cruel game!
Only one more game to come this month lets see a good turn out!
WOODY - can you tell me how points are scored on the poker leaderboard, I was trying to work it out, I guessed my 20 was for 2 wins, so i thought maybe 10 was for second, what i'm not sure of is how some people have 8 points? |

Why thanks Franco It's always nice to know that there's a few members other than myself who read and enjoy my writeups!
I'm still waiting for my Pulitzer prize nomination though _________________ Don't worry, we've got Neil Warnock! |
